Proration Unlocked – Understanding Rentable, Usable + Assignable!
Dan Lorenz, AMS CAD + CAFM Solutions
Salon DE

Are you confused about your floor plan area calculations? How can my Rentable be higher than my Gross? What is considered Common space and how do the proration codes work to allocate space to the departments proportionally? This presentation from Dan Lorenz, Executive Vice President at AMS CAD + CAFM Solutions, walks through step-by-step what each classification of space includes, why it’s important, and how it’s calculated. “In the 15 years I have been working with FM:Systems software, this is the most common question I have from customers. They have an idea of how proration works, but need a little help filling in the gaps.” Instead of wondering why an area calculation seems off, this session will help you be able to take control of where you want space allocated and how you want it reported!

Kristine Fisher, Be the Match
Michael Thorson, Be the Match
Rhonda Rezac, RSP i_SPACE
Salon DE

Be the Match has distinguished their FM Team as a more reputable, key player with the company utilizing their FM Data and won a local IFMA Award for Technology in Use because they were able to show the data the proved their value to the company. We would like to present what they did – the separate type of requests and views that captured the data and the communications that made their voice heard throughout the company. With the ability to now track technician hours, request types and even supply orders, their FM Department has gained a true wealth of knowledge critically needed to become more efficient in their processes. Being equipped with this information has since provided their Facility Management team a leveraging mechanism in negotiations and decision-making, as well as the C-Suite’s renewed confidence in their value-additive business role. They have a great team and a great story that all Facility Managers strive to achieve – Be that Match did it and they want to teach others how they can do it too.
