Expanding our International Presence at EFMC

I had the honor of attending the first international conference that FM:Systems was an exhibitor at on June 8-9 in Milan, Italy. The European Facility Management Conference (EFMC) is the largest conference of facility management executives throughout Europe and other countries. The conference was two full days and consisted of different presentation tracks, an industry exhibition, and a networking event.

We exhibited along with one of our Certified Business Partners, Novigos Engineering, who is based out of Rome. Throughout the day we “manned” the booth and spoke with individuals who came by interested to know more about our product and what we had to offer. After the first full day we had a networking reception at Gattopardo Café which is an old church that was renovated into an event space. The event space was stunning and we had a great time meeting new facilities professionals over apertivo and drinks!

Throughout the conference we were able to showcase the latest version of our product and demonstrate some of the new capabilities such as FMx Reporting, the new user interface, HTML mapping enhancements, and more. We found that there was a lot of interest in our bi-directional BIM integration and how it provides our clients with a comprehensive solution to manage their facilities throughout the entire building lifecycle.

2016EFMCFM:Systems is a global company, our headquarters is in Raleigh, North Carolina but we do business worldwide. One of the things I heard several times from individuals who were attending the conference was, “I didn’t realize FM:Systems did business in Europe?” This is one of the reasons why we decided to exhibit at this show, to get our name in the international market and network with individuals we don’t typically see at the shows we attend in North America.

It was beneficial to have Novigos attend the conference with us, our partnership enables us to provide building owners and operators with a full building lifecycle approach to managing their facilities—through design and construction to building management.

We look forward in attending more international conferences in the future and continue expanding our global presence.
