I’m very excited to not only be going back to Autodesk University for another year but FM:Systems will have a heavy presence at the premier Autodesk user conference. For 2013 we will not only have a booth in the exhibit hall but our own Bill Meyer will be co-presenting a class with Jerry Motto from US CAD titled Partnering for BIM Lifecycle Success. This class explores the opportunity for AEC professionals and building owners and operators to partner on a BIM lifecycle approach to managing facilities. We demonstrate how to create and maintain a live bidirectional integration between Revit software and the FM:BIM cloud-based system. Bill and Jerry will explore how AEC professionals can work more closely with building owners to develop BIM guidelines, workflows, and methods of integrating Revit models into a full BIM lifecycle. Finally, they’ll discuss setting up a model in Revit, including defining rooms, spaces, and assets and publishing facility plans from Revit into FM:Interact.

As many of you know FM:Systems is the Industry Partner for owners and operators for Autodesk which we are quite proud of. Not only will we be exhibiting and teaching at AU but some of our top developers will also be attending the Autodesk Developer Network AU pre-conference which I will be attending as well.

If you are at AU this year and would like to catch up please feel free to send me a message at bhaines@fmsystems.com and I look forward to another year at Autodesk University!
