We are ecstatic about the latest software release of our Integrated Workplace Management System, FM:Interact. We are constantly improving our software to provide our customers with the best in class solution to help them more effectively manage their facilities. We have made some huge improvements to our product—from the look and feel of the interface to adding in brand new functionality to allow them to visualize their real estate portfolios better than ever before. I wanted to highlight some of these exciting new features for you and hope you are as pleased as we are about this new functionality!
Improved Navigation for Better Ease of Use
The new user interface provides users with a variety of layout options that works best for them. The navigation is driven by icons that you can position along the top of the screen or vertically along the left hand side of the screen. Users also have the ability to choose from a variety of icon sizes and can either choose the standard out of the box color theme or apply their own theme that best suits them.
My personal top feature in our new navigation is the ability to have favorites, allowing users to quickly and easy select and go to specific pages, views and reports that they go to most often. This is a huge time saver for users who are constantly in the product and eliminates unnecessary time that is wasted drilling down to get to one frequently visited page.
New Reporting to Analyze Your Facility Data
Our new business intelligence tool, FMx Reporting, is an extremely easy to use, drag and drop wizard that is tailored to the level of complexity appropriate for each user and provides them with powerful reports in a matter of minutes. Not technologically savvy? Not a problem, FMx Reporting is for all users, even non-technical users, and allows them to run reports right from with FM:Interact without any additional support.
FMx Reporting also has a variety of charts and graphs with a wide variety of animated visualizations that will enable users to get better insight into their facility data.
Floor Plan Viewer Enhancements for Improved Drawings
Our FMx5 Viewer allows users to quickly load complex drawings and enables them to more easily perform tasks directly from within the floor plan. Some of the features that we just released as part of the FMx5 Viewer include:
- Improved line weight control—this allows drawings to look clear and crisp at all levels when they zoom into the floor plan drawing
- Drag and drop—users now have the ability to drag and drop room assignments as well as create single and project moves
- Print to PDF—the FMx5 Viewer now has the ability to export and print to PDF with a high degree of layer control
New Mapping Tool for Easily Navigating to Any Location
FM:Interact HTML5 mapping is a highly configurable visual navigation that allows users to see their entire facilities portfolio through a map interface. Users can then quickly and easily select the location they would like to view by clicking on that specific region and the corresponding location will display.
