Last week we had our annual User Conference, where our customers and partners fly in from all over the world to meet and network with other users of our product. Throughout the conference we had a variety of events including a golf outing, welcome reception, usability testing, one-on one sessions with our consultants, roundtable sessions discussing various industry topics, an alternative workplace strategy special interest group breakfast, two full days of presentations, and dinner at the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Our theme for this year’s conference was “Managing the dynamic workplace.” Facility Management is a profession that is driven by change. Whether it is corporate reorganization, new technology, or changes in workplace design, our field is defined by the need to constantly adapt or modify our facilities to respond to change. One of our presentations, “Workplace Strategy: New Approaches to Occupancy Management” consisted of three of our customers and partners discussing their company’s experiences with alternative workspace approaches, what they have learned, where they plan to go next, and how occupancy management methods are changing to support new ways of working.
We also showcased, “What’s New” in our latest release of FM:Interact 8.3. Some of the new features we highlighted included Hoteling, which is the first part released of our new Space Reservation module, data view enhancements, speed and performance enhancements, color coding, and BIM asset enhancements.
We had two full days of exciting customer, partner, and FM:Systems presentations that discussed successes, challenges, and opportunities with our product. Users got to see how their peers use FM:Interact to improve the effectiveness of their facilities teams.
The FM:Systems staff had a great time seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new customers who came out to the conference!
