I recently returned from SCUP’s 50th annual conference which provided me with an opportunity to learn higher education’s best facilities professionals and the challenges they are facing on their campuses.  It’s been a number of years since I worked in space planning and management at the University of Arizona so I enjoyed having an opportunity to speak with several higher education leaders as they look for innovative ways to address their most challenging facilities issues.

SCUP-50 had educational sessions that covered a broad range of topics specifically tailored towards higher education including strategic planning, operational efficiency, leadership, better environments for learning, more effective use of space and more.  FM:System’s participated in the SCUP commons and we are excited to meet with so many of our current higher education customers such as North Carolina State, Grant McEwen University and more.

We truly enjoyed the opportunity to meet with academic, finance and facilities professionals from higher education institutions from around the world and look forward to participating in SCUP-51 to be held in Vancouver next year!
