We were pleased to attend IFMA’s World Workplace September 17-19 in New Orleans, LA. We had a great time speaking with facility professionals as well as seeing new and familiar faces.
Over the course of two days, we had the opportunity to demonstrate our new Space Reservation module. The FM:Interact Space Reservation module provides functionality for both hoteling and conference room scheduling to meet today’s rapidly evolving demands to manage employees who are highly mobile and can work anytime and anywhere. There has been tremendous interest in the capabilities of this module and it was well received by those who had a chance to view a demonstration.
Brian Haines, our Director of Marketing, also presented our new Space Reservation module during his presentation, “Technology to help you manage your dynamic workplace.” His presentation was heavily attended with individuals who wanted to learn how to keep up with today’s highly evolving workplace by managing their mobile employees more effectively.
There was a lot of interest around the Work&Place publication that is a collection of contemporary perspectives on work and the workplace. The latest publication was published in conjunction with the 2014 Workplace Strategy Summit that was held in Berkshire, England this June and includes articles by the summit’s keynote speaker and many others. Michael Schley, FM:Systems CEO and Founder received the IFMA Foundation Trustee’s Award recognizing him for his leadership in organizing the Workplace Strategy Research Summit. The first summit was held at Cornell University in 2012 and the second in Berkshire, England this past June. At both events leading academics and experts in facility management, real estate, management and technology gathered to speak about innovative concepts that are emerging in workplace strategy.
