One of the most exhilarating experiences of being a CEO is the feeling of team pride and accomplishment when your company wins a coveted industry award. Especially when your team works tirelessly to build truly innovative solutions that serve an important market need and potentially, expand an industry overall.

That being said, it is with great pride and enthusiasm for me to share that FM:Systems was awarded the FacilitiesNet 2020 Vision Award in the Smart Building / IoT / Software category for our Environmental Sensors. Judged by an independent panel of facilities executives, the Vision Awards honor innovation and excellence in products contributing to the efficient, profitable operations and management of institutional and commercial buildings in the United States. Our unique Environmental Sensors include robust technical functionality and analytical data that is used to ensure safe environments for people and optimize building assets.

2020 has enabled our company to truly exemplify our mission of “identifying, planning, and delivering the ideal workplace environment”. The advent of COVID-19 brought new challenges and new opportunities for our facilities management and commercial real estate customers worldwide. As these organizations begin their back to the office journey, we are more than honored that our solutions work for and with our customers, providing innovative functionality that answers the evolving office space needs that are transforming our market and our client’s worlds. As indoor air becomes a top priority, our FM:Systems Environmental Sensors combined with FM:Systems Analytics provides an unparalleled ability to monitor and measure Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) simultaneously with real-time occupancy sensing, all in a single sensor package. Values for humidity, temperature, CO2, VOCs, light levels, sound and occupancy parameters can be displayed on a heat map, giving full visibility into indoor air quality for each space and how it affects occupancy levels.  This type of technology is critical in reopening workplaces – delivering a powerful and complete solution to the market that helps our clients provide healthier, safer high-performance buildings to their occupants and we are thankful the industry agrees through the Vision Award.

It’s an honor for me to be part of FM:Systems, an extraordinary company with a strong reputation for listening to our customers and providing high value, high quality products that solve real business problems. This award applauds the commitment of our entire team of innovators, leaders, and visionaries who adapt quickly to market changes such as COVID-19. To be recognized by FacilitiesNet is a huge achievement that belongs to every member of the FM:Systems team and our extended family of customers and partners. We remain committed to continue our journey as a market leader providing an ideal workplace experience for employees of all types and look forward to what the rest of the year holds.

Thank you, all.

Kurt von Koch,

CEO of FM:Systems
